Thomas Tardo is a 17-year Veteran in the Fire Service. Currently, he is on the Rescue Team and Task Force 6 as a Rescue Technician. He is also assigned to Quint 2 in the Greenville City Fire Department. Serving as an Airborne Infantry Section Leader and HQ Platoon Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne Division, further prepared Thomas for Leadership in Emergency Services. With 2 Combat Deployments to Afghanistan, Thomas also held an additional duty as FOB Lightning Fire Chief, where he stood up the fire brigade, and was a US Adviser for the 203rd Afghan Corps. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge and the Expert Infantryman Badge. Thomas is a certified ACE/IAFF Peer Fitness Trainer for the City of Greenville, National Registered EMT, NAEMT TECC / TCCC Instructor, Greenville City 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Coordinator, President of the South Carolina Instructor Society, and Owner of Valkyrie Tactical Solutions.
