Chief Instructor / Medical

Corey Outen is an 11-year Veteran of the United States Army, a 10-year Veteran in Emergency Medical Services, and a 12-year Veteran in the Fire Service.


Corey has served as a station officer within his local Fire Department, a Field Training Officer in multiple EMS agencies, a Senior Triage Medic in a forward-deployed environment, and has responded to multiple domestic emergencies locally with the National Guard.
Also a published author, Corey has written multiple articles for local rescue magazines and journals.


Currently, Corey is Active with the South Carolina Army National Guard as the Medical Training Team NCOIC. He has been teaching Tactical Medical and other rescue-related courses since his return from Afghanistan in 2014.


Corey currently serves as Faculty for the National Association of EMTs South Carolina branch in Tactical Medicine and as a board member for the South Carolina Tactical Medical Association.
